This is STEP 1. After watching this, you guys are now prepared to watch the next vid, MEET YOUR MEAT. I hope it strikes a chord in you and may somehow make you think about a lifestyle change.
 | oh man....i went on a brief vegan phase in highschool, but the diet was too strict for me so i'm settling for semi-vegetarian now. |
 | It's cool hun. I know what you mean :) but you'll be surprised to learn that there are many forms of accepted vegetarianism. You don't necessarily have to go all out vegan if you know you can't stick to it, i'm glad you tried it nevertheless. :) let's talk more about this next time we hang out! i miss you! |
 | poor animals. sa U.S. ang video pero nangyayari din dito. yung video ng mga foie gras mas brutal. wala ba? |
 | henryreyes wrote on Sep 5, '07, edited on Sep 5, '07 yeah, these things happen everywhere but, hey, not in PUREFOODS or San Miguel MONTEREY. Chicken's are zapped so instantaneous death. Now i wouldn't know how a zapped chicken would feel...but then again how many of you feel how a potato feels when you rip it out from the roots to die a slow death inside a grocery plastic bag...yeah I dont think mr. potato wants to see his spawn slaughtered as well?
Oh, yeah, if you're veggies are imported from China...or come directly from Baguio...its going to have a little POOP too - human poop. hehehehe.
Something to think about, ey?

Something to think about, ey? Indeed.
Which is why i only buy organic-- sources that i know and trust. :) i'd rather risk it there than eat meat and say, i'm sure these animals were killed humanely cuz it's a big brand company. Oh no doubts about that. ;p
please watch the second vid, MEET YOUR MEAT! this is a two part viewing experience. this was only step 1. hahahah. :) |
 | Hahaha! But are YOU sure the organic vegetables were killed HUMANELY? Plucked from the roots, sheared from their limbs...torn apart while still alive...uh...the horror! hehehehehe just making you kulet charms! :) |
 | drunkpunkk wrote on Sep 6, '07, edited on Sep 6, '07 does plants have feelings? hehe! i don't think so. but it's open for debate, some say they don't, others say they have. |
 | Back in the cotton fields of the south before the american civil war, the whites were unsure as to whether the blacks are people and if they have souls. It was only in 1972 that the australian government proclaimed the aborigines err human. :) Plants will have their day in the sun soon, i hope. :) |
 | You know what? i honestly believe that plants can feel too. Although they may not have a nervous system and other properties that we can interpret and understand as pain and fear-- i truly believe that they do feel too. Which is why i care deeply about trees being cut down and rainforests being ravaged and many many more destructive occurences... but vegheads have to eat SOMETHING too and being a fruitarian ( eating fallen fruits and not picked from its source no less) is virtually an impossible move for me. :)
and if its any consolation, if i come across people that tend to poke fun into my diet of choice by using that as an argument against vegans/vegetarians-- 'plants may have feelings-- like animals, so why eat them too'-- all i can say is that carnivores/omnivores actually consume more plants indirectly, that vegheads do directly-- by way of the food fed to these animals (grain, seeds, grasses etc) to produce the desired amount of poultry, to gain the right amount of weight etc.-- so by becoming a vegan/vegetarian-- in essence, you cause less beings to suffer and die for you. ;p good argument. and a valid one. actually yung mga farms sa buong mundo kung pagsasamahin, lahat ng tao may matitirahan. at kung lahat ng ginagastos sa pagbili ng pagkain ng mga hayop ay ibibili ng pagkain para sa mahihirap, walang magugutom sa mundo.
does plants have feelings? ewan ko, hehe! kahit sa scientific community pinagtatalunan yan eh, hehe! |
